Locked Down Reflections

2020 has started on a very strange note, My last post was in the last week of December. I used to often find some time to jot down a few thoughts, this year has been an exception. I have been at home for 15 days in a row, haven't even stepped out for a stroll but this has been an interesting time. I have been going through some old notes and saved bookmarks and downloaded videos. Today's thoughts, some locked down reflections ; 

I don't believe in this word called nature's wrath. No virus, no flood, no earthquake is nature's wrath. We "poke" the earth and sometimes the earth pokes us back. Universe is a constellation of energies, from times immemorial mankind has been worshipping energies. We worship energies to make peace with them, to understand them better. Look at the range of energies we worship, water, sun, rain, wind, animals like snakes, monkeys, lions, cows, trees and fire. We are an energy form as well. My dead body wont be called Manish, it will be referred to as Manish's dead body. Manish therefore is an energy beyond his body. This energy will cease one day in this form and will transition to another. Love is the highest form of energy. Make peace with energies around you, meet them, understand them and pray to them. In Abrahamic religions, the concept is that earth was created. In Arabic its called, Kun Faya Kun. The origin is from the Arabic words “Kun” which means “to be” or “to exist” & “Faya Kun” means “it is”. So the literal translation of Kun Faya Kun is “Be and it is”. My view is that one should just become a good energy. Just be and it is ...

Have you noticed the word, Individual? Many years ago I had written that I need to find out why we are called an "Individual"? In stands for an indivisible entity. But are we one? We have in fact have a Dividual entity. We are so many different people within a personality. Nida Fazli wrote; हर आदमी में होते हैं दस बीस आदमी , जिस को भी देखना हो कई बार देखना ! 

Aristotle has a famous quote, the highest good in life is happiness. Man chases happiness relentlessly and transforms multiple times and has variations in his personality. Greek philosophy has a simple concept, I think therefore I am, I doubt therefore I am. When one doubts, they question, they get answers and convictions change and hence we adopt many forms. We are a different child to father, to mother, a different person to his children, his friends, his beloved. There is no place called Khusinagar, no place called happiness. State of mind and state of purpose is the Northstar. Virtue is the habit of making correct choices ...be virtuous ... individual is a myth. Find all the people inside you.

Today's song is another Satinder Sartaj, possibly the best in 2020 so far ...its called the song of self-realization.
